Adaptive Surfing World Championship Sponsors

We love getting behind important causes and we love supporting inspiring individuals who dare to chase their dreams! It is for that reason, that we are proud to announce that ACCNet21 has jumped into the waves and become an official sponsor of the Adaptive World Surfing Championships 2017!

It is our privilege to have joined forces with Surfing Australia, as the major sponsor for the championship to be held later in the year at La Jolla, California. We are very proud to support this event, and we applaud the talented surfing professionals who challenge themselves to push the limits and achieve more.

Amongst these, is our very own Mark Stewart, husband of ACCnet 21 Founder, Debbie Stewart, who is set to make a splash as he defends his World Title. We will be cheering for Mark and the entire Aussie team as they hit the waves - your commitment, courage and talent is an inspiration to us all!

NDIS opening new doors!

As the NDIS continues to roll out, we are excited to see more and more wonderful options become available to our participants. Today on The Hub, we’d like to share with you the artistic adventures of Kristy Parry from Ocean Shores, whose new NDIS plan allows her extra hours to expand her creative interests.

With the assistance of her support worker, Jacquelina, Kristy is venturing out every Thursday on art excursions and to Lismore Tafe. Passionate about raising the confidence and skills of her clients, Jacquelina has encouraged Kristy to experiment with inks, posca pens, charcoal and oil sticks, and developing very unique mark making techniques. Kirsty has also recently expressed an interest in photography, especially portraits of people.

Kristy plans to have her first exhibition in the foyer of the Ocean Shores office in November and will be attending the 'Get creative' program at Lismore Tafe next term, which she is very excited about. Stay tuned for the big event!

In My Shoes

DJ Health recently ran an exciting incentive, inviting clients and staff to participate in a video competition - In My Shoes.

We invited clients to partner with their support worker and share their stories, challenges and victories in the form of a Movie Trailer. The entries that we received were all incredible and we are so proud of the teams who jumped in boots and all to get involved!

Please take a moment to view all the wonderful entries below!
